Overpane extensions read the page you are already looking at and reorganise it for you. That work happens on your own machine. We do not receive the contents of the pages you visit.

Who we are

Overpane builds browser extensions. This policy covers overpane.com and every extension we publish. Contact: support@overpane.com.

What the extensions do with page data

Our extensions run on specific websites listed in each extension's permissions. On those sites they read data the page has already loaded — things like counts, dates and listing details — and sort, filter or display it.

• This processing happens entirely in your browser.
• Page content is not transmitted to Overpane servers, and we do not store it.
• Settings and any locally cached results stay in your browser's own storage. Uninstalling the extension removes them.
• When you export a file, it is written directly to your device. We never receive a copy.

What we do collect

We collect only what is needed to sell and support the product:

• Purchase details. If you buy a licence, our payment processor handles your payment and shares with us your email address, licence key and order status. We never see your card details.
• Licence checks. To confirm a licence is valid, the extension sends the licence key and an anonymous device identifier to our licensing service. No page data is included.
• Support messages. If you email us, we keep the message and your address so we can reply.
• Website analytics. overpane.com may use privacy-respecting, cookie-free analytics that record aggregate page views. This does not apply inside the extensions.

What we never do

• We do not sell, rent or trade your data.
• We do not transfer your data to third parties for advertising.
• We do not use your data to build profiles, or for any purpose unrelated to the extension's stated function.
• We do not collect your browsing history, passwords, or activity on sites the extension does not run on.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of vendors to operate: a payment processor for billing and licence issuance, a hosting provider for this website and the licensing service, and an email provider for support. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.

Keeping data

Purchase and licence records are kept while your licence is active and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Support emails are kept for up to two years. Locally stored settings live on your device until you remove the extension.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@overpane.com and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Our extensions are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will update the date above and note the change on this page.
